This first ascent of Cho Oyu, world's 7th highest peak, was accomplished by an Austrian team led by Tichy in 1954. Expedition chronicled in the book, it was the smallest team to make a first ascent of an 8000 meter peak. Considered an important book in Himalayan mountaineering history, it remains quite a difficult title to find. A nice copy in DJ, original cloth with no foxing, clean and bright internally.
