Rare, three-volume set, Volume I edited by Ernest Shackleton; Volume II edited by Louis Bernacchi; Volume III edited by Apsley Cherry-Gerrard. Volumes I and II numbered 178 of only 250 copies printed, in 1907, from the Discovery Expedition. Volume III numbered 103 of just 350 copies printed 1914, from the Terra Nova Expedition.
Famous limited edition set is a true cornerstone Antarctic item, and includes beautiful Edward Wilson Artworks, books now found primarily in museums or institutional libraries. Yet also found in a very few private, and perhaps only the finest of Antarctic collections. All three volumes professionally rebound internally (not apparent), original boards and spine intact, all pages present and clean, a few scattered marks or spots, not foxed.
